We had a 3 night stay in this luxurious property and it was one of the best. Excellent rooms and wonderful view of Banasura. Food and service were also good. Ms. Anisha from the front desk team was very helpful and did a wonderful job in taking care of us throughout. She was very friendly with our daughter too. From the time of arrival to check out she ensured that everything went smooth for us and she even took time to check if we reached our next destination safe after our check out. Ms. Aswathi from restaurant was also wonderful and welcoming. Overall we had a relaxing stay especially loved their live music dinner on weekends. Will surely recommend this place to friends and family. Kids play area and pool were also excellent and kept our daughter engaged.

My recent stay at Mountain Shadows, Wayanad was absolutely perfect! The location is peaceful and surrounded by nature — ideal for a relaxing break.

The hotel is situated at the beautiful scenic view of banasura dam which enhances the beauty of our stay.
It took 8hrs to travel from Ernakulam to the resort, but the beautiful view of the hotel and its location was so soothing
I will definitely recommend this place... the staffs are very friendly and helpful .... food superb 👌 feels like home made food...
Rooms are neat and clean..... not crowded....the swimming pool view is the highlight over here.
We enjoyed a lot here as children had play area too. .. and lot of other activities to be engaged.....
The food they serve here is very homely, each dish tastes outstanding 👌
The staffs also very friendly and helpful that too outstanding 👏

Staying at MOUNTAIN SHADOWS RESORTS was unforgettable for me and my family. The location is beautiful with spectacular views of Banasura Dam Lake and the mountains all around. It was a perfect location for our vacation and the food was delicious. But what really made it a standout experience was the staff. Everyone was so helpful and friendly; they truly made us feel like we were at home. The resort has all the amenities and facilities to make your stay comfortable. The hotel is spotless and well-maintained which enriched our stay even more enjoyable. I highly recommend Mountain Shadow to anyone looking for an excellent vacation experience!
There is a need for construction of the connecting road as the last 3-4 kilometers of the road are in poor condition.

Hands down, this is one of the BEST properties in all of India!
I'm surprised not many people are talking about it because it deserves all the hype and buzz.
Firstly, the location is mind-blowing! The resort layout, aesthetics, service, staff, food, landscaping, and overall hospitality are simply **outstanding**. I have absolutely nothing but praise for this place. We're definitely coming back again and again and again!
A special shout-out to Sharath S. J., who went above and beyond to make sure our dining experience was splendid. He truly stood out - always so hospitable, helpful, and carried out every service with a smile.
That said, the rest of the staff were equally, if not more, amazing! To whoever owns this property - kudos to you. You truly deserve all the credit!

Very reasonably priced , compared to similar locations /ambiance and quality you would certainly end up paying several folds for a similar facility.
Negatives
It would be silly of me to say something "negative "for the sake of it , owners had possibly done everything they can to build this paradise ..upkeep would be the biggest challenge given the power of nature in this part of world….however I think “may be" we missed having a Bar and other adventurous experiences like hiking ,boating etc..
I would definitely comeback next time if they maintain the present high standards..

Of all my stays at large scale 5-star resort properties, Mountain Shadows Wayanad ranks the highest. I’m comparing this with a few other Taj, Hilton and Oberoi large scale resort properties across India that I’ve stayed at.
My reasons were simple:
1. Exceptional beauty and views from room (unmatchable anywhere else)
2. Delicious food for all 3 meals served as a buffet
3. Luxurious cottages ( the pool view villa is really good, but the regular villa without pool is also amazing)
4. World class Staff: The can-do attitude of the staff here was unmatched. The smile on their faces and readiness with which they attended to your needs.
I’m beyond happy with the time and money I spent here. I’ll definitely try to find an excuse to come back again.

We drove to Mountain shadows from another resort in Wayanad and checked in for a one night stay. The location is amazing and you are surrounded by a vast lake in the backdrop of mountains. Everything about our stay here was beautiful. Great hospitality, the staffs are well trained. Food was really good. They have a different menu each day. The F&B is well managed. Most importantly the whole place is well maintained and kept clean. The rooms and bathroom were very clean n hygeinic too. We had a beautiful view from our balcony it was very refreshing to wake up to it. They also have a beautiful infinity pool. The weather and the view made us extend our stay to one more night. Highly recommend this place for a calm and peaceful stay. We would love to come back to this wonderful resort agian.

If you are looking for a luxurious staycation surrounded by a lake and further surrounded by dense forest mountains and where you get to see both sunny and cloudy climates within a week, then Mountain shadows resort (wayanad) is the place.
Try to plan during poornima days, yull get to see full moon light reflection on the lake. That's awesome!!
You'll recollect the view from dining everytime while eating on your boring home table. [fun😜].

We visited this resort form New York, this was one of our best experiences in India.
They welcomed us with “Chukku Kappi”, we liked it so much. They were so kind to give us complimentary chukku kappi mix to take back home.
Upon request, they made kraft mac and cheese (microwaveable) for my 1 year old.
Rooms were spacious and clean, we got a 2 bedroom suite. I wanted to have some quality time with my sister’s family, and this room was perfect, very spacious for kids to play. Food was good too, different varieties to choose from.
We had great time in this resort, wish we stayed longer.
Suggestion: Mutton was not cooked well, but there was a variety so it wasn’t a big issues.

hospitality at its best with the staff going above and beyond to fulfill every request customer has and makes sure customer satisfaction is 100%
Front office staff is so pleasant and friendly especially Akhila and Devendu along with Jeeva , they are truely amazing and super friendly
Restaurant has a wide variety of buffet options daily for all the three meals and chef Madhu makes sure to listen to the feedback and infact provide specific meals if requested in advance
If you can brace the impact of last 3 mile ride to the resort inside the jungle you are in for a surprise and excitement in the resort
I would definitely visit them again to enjoy the hospitality that they provided in making us feel special

Wow...the bundle of surprises start from 3 kms away from Resort. Ghat road through forest. Which was an amazing experiance. Especially for those who coming from cities. Once you reach the main gate, you never thought of such a fantabulous property placed at the middle of a resevoir and surrounded by mountains and forest. Such a calm place to be with. Humble treat from whole staff. The ambience is one of the best we can enjoy at waynad. 95% of it's boundary is water frontage. The cycling track through the cycling way is really awesome. If you really wanted to spend your valuable time away home with your family, i reccoment Mountain Shadows. Thank you Mountain Shadows and team for such a wonderful treat. We will come back soon again.

Quite pleased of the decision that I selected this property,for my stay,initially was bit hesitant as never heard of its name earlier.
Fantastic ,serene,luxury property,with quite helpful staff like Ms.Sonia (at Reception, quite helpful in resolving any issues ) Mr.Jethin George(car Driver,man of few words,quite helpful,punctual).

All restaurant staff,very attentive and helpful.
Naturalist (forgot his name), was quite helpful explaining the flora and fauna during moring & evening naure trails.
Overall fantastic..keep up the good work.
Just,one request to the owner ,try to avoid construction,renovations during weekends at the property to avoid any issues to the guests.

The hotel exceeded my expectations.This resort has got one of the best view of mountains on one side, forest on the other and karamanathodu river, tributary of kabani in between, all within a view angle.view point was fantastic. The staffs are definitely a credit to this resort. Extremely helpful, polite and go an extra mile for you. The rooms and surroundings are spotlessly clean. We had delightful and variety of food experience at mountain shadows. The restaurent and room services was top-notch with friendly and attentive staff.Praises the spa's serene environment and attentive therapists, highlighting a positive and relaxing experience.We Will definitely return again to mountain shadows once at reach wayanad.

We booked one Luxury View Villa & Romantic Pool Villa .The service was exceptional, the staff was incredibly friendly specifically at the front desk Ms.Surya handled it professionally and made us feel at home.
The location offered breathtaking views, the cleanliness was impeccable, and guest needs were attended to at all hours. The food was top-notch with a vast selection, and the evening entertainment @ violin was superb. It exceeded all expectations in every way. We loved the experience and would love to visit again.
I would like to add the cafeteria in charge was so supportive with attentive constantly.

We stayed with our family for 4 days at Mountain Shadows. This is one of the best vacations we have had. The location is so pristine and the monsoon added more beauty to it. The service and the warmth of the staff was next level. Mr. Anish who was the restaurant manager took really good care of us. The food was awesome with an awesome spread and the menu changed each session. The spa was really good as well. Mr. Anub and Deepa did a really good job. The activities for the kids with pot making classes and indoor play area was really worth it when it was raining outside. Overall, it’s worth the money and the 3KM bumpy road ride. I would 100% recommend to everyone and already planning for my family for a vacation here.

The views from the resort and rooms are stunning and breathtaking. You can spend hours just admiring the view and taking in the fresh air. The resort is very well maintained and equipped. All the amenities are top notch.
I was impressed by the resort’s use of energy saving (5 star rating) appliances. The front office manager Mr. Tejus took us on a tour of the property showing us the walking/cycling trail available. All the staff at the reception were very friendly and welcoming. Thanks to Priya and her colleagues.
The food was also tasty and there was a good variety for the buffets on the nights we stayed.
An excellent resort and hope to stay there again in an another season( winter perhaps)
